Introducing the FiberSense Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – designed for continuous glucose monitoring in diabetic patients at home. Using optical sensing technology, FiberSense continuously measures glucose concentrations in tissue fluid beneath the skin to support the monitoring of blood sugar levels and trends throughout the day.
Integrated CGM solution
The FiberSense CGM System combines a sterile single-use applicator with a glucose-sensitive optical sensor fiber, a reusable detector, a dedicated charger and the FiberSense App. While the applicator and overtape are single-use components, the detector and charger are designed for repeated use.
Real-time optical sensing
FiberSense uses a glucose-sensitive optical sensor fiber placed in subcutaneous tissue of the upper arm or abdomen. The sensor responds to glucose in interstitial fluid, while the detector captures, stores and converts the optical signal into glucose-related information displayed in the FiberSense App.
Designed to keep up with daily life
The FiberSense CGM System is designed to fit naturally into everyday life. The sensor and overtape are designed to be worn for up to 28 days before replacement, while the detector can be detached, recharged and reused with a new sensor. When properly attached, the detector and base plate form a waterproof connection.
Glucose values, trends and context
The FiberSense App displays current and historical glucose values, graphs and trends. It provides alarms according to general or individual settings and allows users to enter contextual information such as meals, activity, insulin intake or calibration data. The App supports monitoring but does not provide autonomous diagnosis, therapy recommendations or automated treatment control.

Managing health-related data requires trust. The FiberSense CGM System and FiberSense App are designed with a focus on responsible handling of user information and the highest level of data protection and everyday discretion.
Clinical performance
The FiberSense CGM System is indicated for use in adults with diabetes, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as described in the Instructions for Use. Clinical evaluation data support the performance of the system over the intended wearing period of up to 28 days. In studies covering prolonged wear and home use conditions, high dynamics and calibration, FiberSense generated continuous glucose measurements across more than 18,000 paired data points, 2,700 wearing days and 100 patients to ensure you can rely on it every day.
