About usThe FiberSense company
Since 2006, FiberSense has been working toward a simple idea: biomarker sensing should become more continuous, more personal and easier to integrate into everyday life. Building on the experience of EyeSense, a spin-off from CIBA Vision (Alcon), formerly part of the Novartis Group, FiberSense combines optical sensing expertise with a focus on practical, long-wear and more sustainable monitoring solutions. Our first regulated application is the CE-marked FiberSense CGM System for continuous glucose monitoring in adults with diabetes, designed around long wear duration, reusable components and real-time glucose insights.
Our way
Our journey started in 2007 with concept studies that laid the groundwork for our current developments. Since then, we have consistently advanced our technology with one goal in mind: to reduce the friction of continuous monitoring and make meaningful glucose insights easier to integrate into everyday life. Extended wear time, reusable components and wireless data transfer are not just technical features – they reflect our belief that medical technology should be practical, responsibly designed and built around real life.
Our vision
We believe the future of sensing will be more personal, more continuous and more connected to everyday decisions. FiberSense is starting with continuous glucose monitoring for adults with diabetes, but our long-term vision reaches even further: to advance optical sensing technologies that may one day help people better understand how lifestyle and metabolic factors may relate to everyday wellbeing. Future areas of exploration may include additional metabolic and lifestyle-related signals such as ketones, lactate, cortisol or other indicators relevant to personal metabolic insights.
Our brands
FiberSense is our medical-device brand focused on CE-marked continuous glucose monitoring for adults with diabetes. Nuvia is being developed as a future lifestyle and wellness brand for personal metabolic insights, with potential use cases around nutrition, activity, recovery and everyday routines. This brand architecture allows us to keep medical-device communication clear and compliant, while exploring broader lifestyle-oriented opportunities under a separate brand. Nuvia applications are not part of the current approved intended use of the FiberSense CGM System.
Our team
FiberSense is driven by an experienced team dedicated to shaping the future of medical technology with passion and expertise. Together, we strive to make FiberSense a trusted partner for both our users and investors, firmly believing that the best solutions arise where experience meets innovation.
